George Hale, President & CEO::

George Hale formed Generation Development Inc. in 1998 to focus on niche in-fill residential projects in inner eastside Portland. After five years of in-fill development, George parlayed his success into the emerging Central Oregon market, specifically Bend and Redmond. Upon growing his geographic coverage, Hale formed Woodhill Homes in 2002 with partner Jay Campbell.

Hale’s entry into the Bend market was timed perfectly as he positioned himself into projects prior to the residential boom experience between 2004 through 2006. During that time Woodhill Homes established itself as a well recognized production builder with a quality product. At the height of the residential boom, Woodhill Homes built and sold 120 homes in 2005 alone.

Beyond residential development, Hale has expanded into other real estate ventures primarily in the Portland area. Currently his portfolio is comprised of condo projects, apartment projects, industrial buildings, and various land holdings.

George Hale is well renowned for his business sense and entrepreneurial savvy. He is the husband to Kara, and father to three children all under the age of 8. George is an avid golfer and reader. He enjoys spending time with his family and traveling to his vacation home in Mexico.

Darris Cassidy, VP of Finance::

Darris Cassidy is a 2002 Gonzaga University Graduate, earning a degree in business administration with a concentration in finance.

After college Darris went to work for HomeStreet Capital as an assistant loan closer. After assisting the loan closers for 1 ½ years he switched positions to Asset Administrator in which he analyzed property operating statements and physically inspected the banks collateral to ensure quality property management and maintenance.

In 2005 Darris moved to Portland to accept a Relationship Manager position at Bank of the West in the Real Estate Industries Division. During his time at Bank of the West, he originated roughly $60MM in commercial real estate construction loans as well as nearly $35MM in financial services such as interest rate swaps.

In August of 2006, Darris accepted a position as Controller at Woodhill Homes & George Hale Development. He has since been promoted to VP of Finance. Darris is responsible for overseeing all financial handlings including arranging and negotiating project financing, project proformas, cash flow projections, income statement and balance sheet management, business operation budgets, facilitating and preparing for review level accounting audits, and directly managing five employees. He is active in all facets of the business and has a hand in most business and project specific decisions.

Currently, Darris and his wife Adria live in the Sellwood neighborhood of Portland, OR. They enjoy traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Jay Campbell::

Jay graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 1992 located in upstate New York. He received a degree in American Studies and English. Relocating to Portland in 1996, Jay worked for D.R. Horton until 2000. At this juncture, he moved to Bend looking for an opportunity to build on his own. After working for a local builder, Jay and George Hale, a former business associate, formed Woodhill Homes in April 2002. Since the inception of the company, over 350 homes have been completed.

Ruth Price::

I am a full time real estate professional. My focus is exclusively on the Bend market. Because of my extensive experience and knowledge I am able to ensure exceptional service and expertise at every step of the transaction. My goal is to provide my clients with an unparalleled level of service by raising the bar in real estate services to a “five star” experience.

Shane R. LaBelle::

Shane LaBelle is a 1995 Oregon State Graduate, earning a degree in civil engineering with a minor in surveying.

After college Shane went to work for WestLake Consultants as an assistant project manager and then moved on to LDC Design Group as a project manager. At LDC Design Group Shane managed multi/single family and commercial developments as a consultant to clients

In April of 2006, Shane accepted a position as Assistant Development Director at Woodhill Homes & George Hale Development. He has since been promoted to Development Director. Shane is responsible for overseeing all spect development of raw land. He is active in the Portland Community through the Portland Forest Parks and Habitiat for Humanity volunteer projects and working on affordable housing solutions.

Currently, Shane, his wife Susan and son live in the Garden Home neighborhood of Portland, OR. They enjoy being active in the Pacific Northwest and spending time with friends and family.

Bill Duffey: CEO / Principal Broker
Taft Dire LLC, Bend, Oregon

The quintescential “been there, done that” guy in new construction real estate. He’s got an infectious, positive attitude, great industry knowledge and even a few grey hairs to show he’s been around a while. Inspires hard work from his team and continuing relationships with customers and business associates alike. Likes to fish and loves to land Œem ­ both the sales and rainbow trout. Fish on.
