Woodhill Homes is pleased to announce a special event this weekend, May 17 - 18 at our Obsidian Meadows neighborhood in Redmond. We’re having a Moving Sale!
You see, we’re moving in Redmond . . . prices, that is. Woodhill Homes is closing out our last homes at Obsidian Meadows so that we can move on to our future neighborhoods. To do so, we’ve lowered prices on our remaining homes.
When we say lowered, we mean it. Drops of $10,000 to $45,000 on some really nice homes, ranging in size from 1,624 to 2,405 square feet, on big lots around a quiet cul-de-sac. Some with mountain views and full landscaping, too. Home prices range from $224,950 to $249,950.

What feature would you want in a home if you could have anything you desired?
Because we strive to include new and innovative features in our homes, we are looking for your ideas. This is our online suggestion box. A few of the features we have included in past homes have been; Ipod docking stations, built-in speakers in living areas, outdoor fireplaces and green built homes and products. Recently, an article written for HGTV’s website commented on todays trends. Read it here.
Agree? Disagree? We want to hear.

With today’s real estate market conditions, now is a great time to buy and trade up! “What?” you may say. But when it comes to buying and selling homes, I always suggest people look at the big picture when it comes to trading up. Okay, you may not get a dreamy windfall of cash you would like for the house you are selling, but if you have equity in your current house you can use that as a down payment on a better house. And if you need a better house (one that’s bigger, nicer finishes, different neighborhood, more energy-efficient or whatever), you would be crazy not to upgrade now. You have an outstanding selection to choose from and waiting will only cost you more in the long term. Think about it.

From the “What is Escrow” series provided by Lori Tubbs, Chicago Title Insurance Company of Oregon.
What service does an escrow agent perform?
An escrow agent prepares the necessary instructions from the buyer and seller and receives the necessary documents and funds. They prorate rent, taxes, interest on liens to be assumed, and obtain endorsements of existing fire insurance policies. Escrow agents also clear drafts deposited by the purchaser, obtain title insurance for protection of the buyer, and pay liens and costs authorized by the parties. They are responsible for the recording of all legal documents and disbursement of funds at the closing of the transaction, as well as, furnishing each party a closing statement showing the disposition of funds.
