Decorating your new home on a budget
So you’ve purchased a new home (let’s hope from us!). You’re in no doubt some sort of situation like this:
- Just married… so you have two of everything
- Moving in but still have all of that stuff you collected in college
- A hybrid of these two situations
So now that you have a brand new shiny place… you want to decorate it! However, with a “recession” looming, you don’t want to break the bank to decorate your new place.
Phoebe Chongchua wrote a nice piece about how to decorate your home with a budget over at Realty Times. One thing that she hits on that I think is something we’re all guilty of is impulse buying. Admit it; you’ve seen that sofa or chair or rug that you knew would really tie the room together. And without thinking about spacing or if it’ll fit in your kitchen or living room, you purchased it… only to bring it home to find out that you had to rearrange everything else in order for it to fit.
Nice article to read before going out there and decorating your new home.
